ESMA Opens Review of Tokenized Collateral in EU Clearing
Tokens could move the €480 billion in margin that Europe’s clearinghouses collect in minutes instead of days. Before that happens, ESMA wants evidence that a CCP could sell them just as safely when a member defaults.
